Tokyo Mate
🍣 Fresh Hokkaido sushi, steps from Tokyo Station.
Nemuro Hanamaru at KITTE Marunouchi
is where locals and tourists line up alike.
Here's everything you need to know before going.
Nemuro Hanamaru is a conveyor belt sushi chain named after the fishing town of Nemuro in Hokkaido. It's loved by locals and tourists for its fresh, high-quality sushi at reasonable prices. Today we're visiting the KITTE Marunouchi branch, located on the 5th floor of the KITTE building right in front of Tokyo Station.

🚃 How to Get There
KITTE is connected to the Marunouchi Line Tokyo Station via an underground passage, making it accessible without going outside. You can also walk from the JR Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit in about 1 minute.

Other nearby stations within a 10-minute walk include Nijubashimae, Otemachi, and Yurakucho.
🎫 How the Ticket System Works
Nemuro Hanamaru does not accept online reservations. You have to take a numbered ticket at the store entrance. Here's how it works step by step.

Tip: Arrive before the 11:00 AM opening for the shortest wait. On the day we visited, a queue had already formed on the 1st floor before opening.

The escalators to the 5th floor start operating around 10:55 AM. Once upstairs, the queue moves to the restaurant entrance.

We arrived around 10:40 AM and got ticket #22. We were called in at 12:10 PM, so the wait was about 1.5 hours for roughly 20 groups ahead of us.

LINE Notifications
Scan the QR code on your ticket to get LINE notifications about your wait status. You'll receive updates as your turn approaches, so you can explore KITTE while waiting.

Important: When your number is called, all members of your party must be present. If you're not there, your reservation is canceled after 15 minutes.

📋 Menu
The restaurant has a Korean-language menu and a photo menu, making it easy for international visitors to order.

📝 How to Order
Ordering is simple: fill out the paper order form at your seat. Write the item number and quantity, mark an X next to items you want without wasabi (default is with wasabi), and hand it to the staff.

🍣 The Sushi
At each seat you'll find matcha powder to make your own green tea, pickled ginger, and soy sauce.

Miso Soup
Miso soup is not free and not listed on the photo menu. It's posted on the wall as a seasonal item. Nemuro Hanamaru is famous for their crab miso soup, but we ordered the mushroom miso soup instead. The portion is generous, enough to share between two people.

💰 How Much Did We Spend?
Two of us ate a wide variety of sushi, from the 176-yen egg sushi all the way up to the 550-yen premium tiers. The total came to about 7,000 yen for two people. Considering the freshness and generous portions, it's outstanding value.

The sushi slices are thick and fresh, a real step above what you'd expect from a conveyor belt place. If you're near Tokyo Station and craving sushi, Nemuro Hanamaru is hard to beat.
