This is the so-called "Ditto Subway" event.

Starting March 2, 2026, station concourses, train interiors, and even the line's logo have all been taken over by Ditto in this Tokyo Metro x Ditto collaboration event. 💜

Why the Hanzomon Line? The Perfect Match with Ditto

Tokyo Metro officially cited two reasons for choosing the Hanzomon Line for this collaboration:

🟣 Perfect color match: Ditto's signature purple color is an exact match for the Hanzomon Line's route color.

🟣 Ditto hidden in the name: The Hanzomon Line (半蔵門線 / Hanzōmon-sen) contains "mon" (モン), which is also in Ditto's Japanese name "Metamon" (メタモン). For this limited event, a special logo reading "Hanzōmon (半蔵モン)" was created.

Ditto is known for its ability to transform (henshin), and this collaboration weaves that character trait throughout station spaces and train interiors, making the commute itself a Pokemon experience.

🚃 Ditto Wrapped Train Details

The highlight of this event is the fully wrapped Ditto trains. A total of 2 wrapped trains are running on the Hanzomon Line, decorated entirely in Ditto designs.

Inside the trains, you'll find Ditto disguised as a human from the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game "Poko a Pokemon (ぽこ あ ポケモン)" greeting passengers.

This game features Ditto as the protagonist, living among quirky Pokemon while disguised as a human. Scenes from the game appear throughout the train's advertising panels, making the ride itself a piece of content for Pokemon fans.

The schedule changes daily and only 2 trains are running, so it's hard to predict. Fortunately, the Hanzomon Line has short intervals between trains, so planning your day around this line and riding it frequently is the best way to encounter Ditto.

⛔ Do not ask station staff: Tokyo Metro has officially announced that station staff cannot provide information on wrapped train schedules.
