⏳ Queue Strategy & Finding Shibuya Mark City
The most confusing part for first-timers is finding the entrance.
📍 Directions Summary
This isn’t a street-level shop—it’s located on the 4th floor of Shibuya Mark City shopping mall.
- Find the ‘Mark City East’ building through the connecting passage from Shibuya Station.
- Take the escalator to the 4F restaurant floor, and the busiest spot will be Sushi no Midori.

⏰ Smart Queue Strategy
① Get Queue Number (Available from 10:00)
Use the ticket machine at the entrance to select party size and get your number.
② QR Real-Time Tracking
Scan the QR code on your ticket to see ‘Teams Ahead of You’ and ‘Estimated Wait Time’ in real-time.
③ Explore Nearby (Highly Recommended)
If you have 30+ minutes left, go shopping at KALDI or Daiso in Mark City basement, or visit Shibuya Scramble Crossing.

🍽️ Atmosphere & Ordering System
✅ Spacious and Comfortable Interior
The interior seats 62 people, which is quite spacious. There are both counter seats (tacchi) and table seats. Even solo diners can comfortably eat at the counter while watching the chef prepare sushi. The department store restaurant floor cleanliness makes it great for bringing parents.

✅ Ordering Method
- Staff takes orders directly (analog style)
- Menu has photos—no language barrier
- Can’t speak Japanese? Point at photos to order—totally OK
✔️ Customization Tips
- Less rice: “Shari koma (しゃり こま)”
- No wasabi: “Sabi nuki (さびぬき)”

🍣 The Winner: YAWARAGI LUNCH Review
I ordered the ‘YAWARAGI LUNCH’ to get both value and variety.
🍣 Overwhelming Neta (Sashimi) Thickness
The first thing that overwhelms you is the ’thickness of the neta (fish)’. The fish is 1.5 times thicker and longer than typical Korean sushi restaurants. The satisfaction of fish filling your entire mouth is amazing. No fishy smell at all, and the thick flesh wraps around your tongue with umami flavor bursting out. The tuna especially had a melt-in-your-mouth soft texture that was excellent.
🍚 Shari (Rice)
Honestly, it’s not the delicate “half air, half rice” craftsmanship of high-end omakase. But for a popular sushi shop, the seasoning is appropriate, and most importantly, the balance with the generous fish topping is excellent. (Best value!)
🍮 Chawanmushi (Steamed Egg Custard)
The included chawanmushi is pudding-soft and warm, perfect for warming your stomach before the meal.
🍨 Dessert Ice Cream
Moderate sweetness provides a clean finish.

⭐ Honest Final Verdict & Return Visit Likelihood
“Worth the wait—a solid meal during your Tokyo trip”
It’s rare to find a place in the heart of Shibuya where you can eat your fill of this quality sushi at this price. Foodies might find the shari details slightly lacking, but the overwhelming freshness of ingredients and friendly service compensate for everything.
- Pros: Convenient QR wait system, thick and fresh fish, very friendly staff
- Cons: Long waits during meal times (opening run recommended)
- Payment: Cash, cards, IC transport cards all accepted
🍣 Return Visit Likelihood: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (Top candidate for Shibuya lunch)
