How to Get to Sky Room
Azabudai Hills is located at Kamiyacho Station on the Hibiya Line. Take Exit 5 and you'll be connected directly to Azabudai Hills via an underground passageway.

Sky Room Cafe & Bar is inside JP Tower. Follow the JP Tower signs and head above ground.

You'll see JP Tower. Walk through the lobby until you reach the entrance where a security guard is stationed.

This is the entrance to Sky Room Cafe & Bar. If the security guard asks where you're going, just say: "Sukai Rūmu Kafe ni Ikimasu" (スカイルームカフェに行きます / I'm going to Sky Room Cafe).

The reason the guard asks is that before April 18, 2024, this was a free observation deck. Now, only customers of the 33rd and 34th floor restaurants can enter.

The day I visited, the cafe had shortened hours until 3 PM due to an evening private event. Make sure to check the schedule before planning your trip.

Sky Room Menu
From coffee and desserts to cocktails — you can relax while gazing at Tokyo Tower. The cafe serves original coffee blended by Minami-Aoyama's Little Darling Coffee Roasters, along with cakes from Dining 33 Pâtisserie à la Maison. Considering the Tokyo Tower views, the prices are quite reasonable. Each guest must order at least one drink.

Sky Room View
As the closest vantage point to Tokyo Tower, it feels like you're looking at it face-to-face from the sky. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Rainbow Bridge.

The 34th floor has bar-style counter seating, and the staircase connecting to the 33rd floor doubles as seating. The high ceilings create a wonderful sense of openness. Around sunset, visitors gather on the stairs waiting for the sunset and Tokyo Tower's evening illumination.

You can take a photo with the entire Tokyo Tower as your backdrop.

Epilogue
Sky Room Cafe & Bar at Azabudai Hills is an observatory-that's-not-quite-an-observatory — a unique space where you can sit face-to-face with Tokyo Tower. Just make sure to check the operating schedule before you go.
